Darren Behar | Managing Partner
Darren’s experience extends across a broad range of areas including communication, stakeholder and media relations, reputation management, change, sustainability, marketing, brand, positioning, strategy, and operations.
Most recently, Darren was an executive at Liberty Financial, responsible for marketing and communications across Australia and New Zealand. Prior to this, he held senior positions at financial and professional services firms.
Darren began his career as a journalist. He was a senior correspondent and columnist at The Sydney Daily Telegraph as well as The Daily Mail in the UK and won a number of awards for his work.
Alongside his undergraduate degree, he has a Post-Graduate Diploma in Journalism and received an MBA from Melbourne Business School. He is also a member of Special Olympics Victoria’s fundraising committee.
Darren enjoys spending time with his family, reading and pretending he can still play football (soccer).
Aravin Stickney | Head of Kamber
Aravin has more than 10 years’ experience as a professional writer, editor and communication strategist in the public sector. He led the development of La Trobe University’s verbal brand and was instrumental in the creation of the university’s publications and content marketing operations.
As La Trobe’s first Content Strategist, Aravin created and led the execution of numerous multi-channel content campaigns integrating digital, social and print assets to create seamless user journeys targeted at the university’s domestic and international markets.
He was instrumental in creating communication strategies that prescribed tactics and communication protocols for a major joint venture between La Trobe University and the Victorian Government. Aravin has also written communication strategies for the Victorian Government and Deakin University.
Prior to Kamber, Aravin played a key role in creating and leading Swinburne University’s Student Information Centre – the university’s focal point of interactions with all current and prospective students.
Aravin has a Bachelor of Arts (Communication) from Monash University and a Master of Arts (Professional Communication) from Deakin University.
Bradley Hopper | Video Producer
Since joining Kamber, Brad has been involved in video production projects for Pepperjack Wines, Wynns Coonawarra Estate, Novartis, Bank of Melbourne and the NSW Department of Trade and Investment.
He specialises creative branded content, animation and motion graphics, interviews, profiles, event-based content and videos for internal communications purposes.
Prior to joining Kamber, Bradley worked at visual effects powerhouse The Mill as a Final Cut Editor and After Effects designer on a multitude of campaigns for global clients such as Audi, British Airways, Johnnie Walker and Vodafone to name a few. Prior to this he worked at the London HQ of branding agency Bartle Bogle Hegarty.
Bradley has written and directed a number of fashion films that he produced alongside filmmaker Karl Pearson, these span from independent London designers right up to Louis Vuitton.
Bradley has a BA Hons in Broadcast Post Production from Ravensbourne College of Design and Communication.
Rachel Fallon | Client Director
Rachel has a passion for strategy and creativity – unearthing cultural, category and customer insights and data-driven creative communications, products and services. She believes “brands are best built on purpose and value, empowering movements and co-defining culture”.
She has seven years’ experience in award-winning marketing campaigns and business changing product innovations. She specialises in digital strategy, branding and social media marketing and has experience in domestic and international markets.
Prior to joining Kamber, she worked for whiteGREY, the Australian arm of the globally renowned Grey Group. She was client lead for brands including Kimberly Clark, LION and The Rocks Property NSW. Before coming to Australia, Rachel worked with DDB’s Tribal London on the Volkswagen account.
Rachel has a Master of Science in Marketing from the National University of Ireland, Galway and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies from the University of Limerick.
She currently works with Visa on growing and evolving the brands’ social media presence.
Sophie Malcolm | Senior Client Manager
Sophie is a content and communications specialist with seven years’ experience in journalism, content production and social media strategy in Australia and Europe.
Prior to joining Kamber, she worked for the ABC in Australia and the BBC in the United Kingdom, producing and presenting radio and television for national and international audiences, with a particular focus on the Asia-Pacific region.
In the UK, she also worked at a specialist agency servicing clients within the action sports and tourism industry, developing and executing global and local social media, branded content and influencer campaigns for clients in Germany and France.
Sophie now works with MINI and holds a Bachelor of Arts (Media and Communications) from Swinburne University.
Rebeccah Churchward | Senior Client Executive
Rebeccah is a social media and communications specialist with four years’ experience in content development, social media strategy and stakeholder management across the not for profit and agency sectors.
Prior to joining Kamber, Rebeccah managed the national marketing and communications for World Vision Australia’s youth movement, VGen. In her role, Rebeccah was responsible for developing and implementing the marketing and communications strategy on state and national levels.
Following her time at World Vision, Rebeccah worked for Silk & Scotch PR and Fairtrade Australia and New Zealand where she developed and implemented social media strategies.
As part of the Kamber team, Rebeccah now works across a number of clients including MINI, Visa, Janssen Australia and Spotlight Retail Group as well as managing Kamber’s marketing.
Rebeccah has a Bachelor of Media and Communication (Public Relations / Social Media) from Swinburne University of Technology.
Breanna Harris | Client Executive
Prior to joining Kamber, Breanna worked at Rise Health Group and Rise High Performance as their social media and marketing manager. Within these two organisations, Breanna worked with elite athletes, designed their websites, organised promotions, managed their online communities and wrote regular editorial pieces for publication on their website.
During Breanna’s career, she has written for Mater Christi College, Swinburne University of Technology’s ‘The Standard’, the Rowville Lysterfield Community News and Rise Health Group. Breanna also worked alongside the Cleo team in the lead-up to the publication of their final magazine, whilst helping with the publication of an edition of Dolly magazine.
As part of Kamber Breanna now works with clients such as Visa, MINI, and Spotlight Retail Group.
